The main purpose of this post is to give information concerning an analysis of similarities and dissimilarities of Dumai Indonesia and Dubai Uni Emirate Arab with transparent way. I choose both Dumai and Dubai because those cities are special in the deepest of my heart. Another reason I compare that cities because both Dumai and Dubai having a similar name (the different only in m and b in that name).
Dumai is my born city, located in Riau Province Indonesia. How I love Dumai as one of the biggest city in Indonesia. Not only big but also an industrial country in Indonesia. Then, Dubai is a modern city, expensive council and best interest of people around the world. Dubai has distinguished my beloved city from others and has made it the center of attention worldwide. Dubai is one of seven Emirates (states) that joined together in 1971 to form the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Geographical
Dumai
Dumai occupies 1,727.38 square kilometers and is the second size after significantly larger Pontianak West Kalimantan. Mostly, Dumai Municipality consists of lowland plain in north and upland plain in the south. Generally, the land is yellow-red podzolic from sediment stone, alluvial, and gray humus in the marsh or wetland. Dumai has 15 rivers and has a tropic climate with 210C - 360C temperature and two seasons, rain season and dry monsoon.
Dubai
Dubai occupies 4,114 square kilometers and is the second size after the significantly larger Abu Dhabi. This land, in section, falls into four geographic categories; coast and coastal plain, interior desert, an upland plain, and interior rugged mountain.
The climate in Dubai is dry, subtropical and rain is very rare. The hottest months are between June and September when the temperature often tops 45 to 500C during the day and the humidity is very high. The weather in October, November and April offer more reasonable temperatures of between 300C and 350C. The months of December and March temperatures average is 240C.
Economics
Dumai
Agriculture is one of economic development need to increase farmers’ income in rural areas. Dumai has food crops, plantations, animal husbandry, fishery, and forestry. Dumai also has Foreign trade, the oil, and mining natural resources of Dumai which play an important role support the state export. The total value of Dumai export in 2014 was US $ 17,746.29 million. The countries of destination for Dumai export are Japan, India and the remaining to other countries. A number of job seekers in 2014 were recorded at 2,552 persons; consist of 3,174 male and 1,378 by the female.
Favorable business conditions and shrewd investment decisions have led to Dubai becoming one of the Gulf’s most successful and rapidly expanding economic environments and Dubai is now firmly established as the business, financial and commercial hub of the region. The emirate’s Western-style model of business drives its economy with the main revenues now coming from tourism, aviation, real estate and financial services.
While oil discovery brought revenue to Dubai and would change the city’s physiognomy, moving it beyond the initial three settlements along the creek, it is clear that Dubai’s status as a dynamic entrepot for international trade and transshipment, its foundational infrastructure projects, and its “free port” policies to attract merchant communities from throughout the Gulf and the Indian Ocean, along with licit and illicit trade for re-export to Persia/Iran and India, were solidly established before “black gold” was struck in Fateh Field.
Thus Dubai’s development blueprint was being forged while the city was still a Gulf outpost and British protectorate up through oil discovery: large-scale engineering projects to facilitate trade movement; urban expansion along the new trade route; and spatial planning reduced essentially to providing transportation infrastructure to facilitate and loosely structure growth.

Dubai
Dubai has the fastest growing population in the world and is home to exciting, diverse, multi-cultural blend young, dynamic, professional people all enjoying the unrivaled quality of life the Emirate has offer.
